Unfortunately, our State Library and Doncaster shops will remain completely closed throughout the current lockdown and are not available to collect items from.

Please directly call your local Readings to place all orders that you wish to collect – we can arrange everything you need at greater speed, for your reading pleasure, using this system. Additionally, as per lockdown restrictions, Call & Collect is only available only to customers who live within a 15km radius of a participating Readings store.
We recommend browsing our website to plan your purchase first – take a look at our most recent reviews and blog posts, or browse the most recent edition of the Readings Monthly here. Once you’ve made your selection, call your local shop to place and pay for your order, and to arrange kerbside pick-up. During this period, we will be unable to accommodate special orders and Call & Collect will only be available for books that are currently in-stock at one of our shops.
We kindly ask that you do not approach our on-site shop staff for in-person or ‘through-the-door’ recommendations, as this is not permitted during Melbourne’s circuit breaker restrictions. We also ask for your patience with us if our phones or staff are busy, or if an item you wanted is no longer available.
