Love Your Bookshop Day is this Saturday 11 August! To celebrate, we’re offering our customers the chance to win free books for a year. Just follow the three simple steps below.

Step one: Visit one of our seven shops on Saturday 11 August.

Maybe you want to see our newly renovated Carlton shop, or pop into our beautiful Hawthorn shop – and hear from the lead singer of The Seekers, Judith Durham, while you’re there. Take the kids on a bookish adventure at our Kids shop, and as a special bonus if you’re one of the first 50 people to buy a book you’ll also receive a free Love Your Bookshop Day tote bag. You might decide to take a stroll down Acland Street and visit our gorgeous St Kilda shop, or slip away from the chaos of the busy shopping centre to relax in our Doncaster shop. Or, perhaps you would like to browse the shelves at our lovely Malvern shop, or enjoy the charming surrounds of State Library Victoria at our State Library shop.

Step two: Buy a book, any book.

Step three: Fill out our competition form at the counter and tell us in 25 words or less why you love Readings. You’ll then go in the draw to win a Book of the Month subscription – a free copy of either our fiction, non-fiction or children’s Book of the Month, every month for 12 months, starting from September 2018. The book will be available to pick up in your shop of choice each month.
