Dav Pilkey tops our list of bestselling children’s and YA books from last week with Lord of the Fleas – the fifth book in his very funny, wildly irreverent Adventures of Dog Man series.

Jo Witek and Christine Roussey’s With My Daddy also proved a favourite last week with Father’s Day happening. Fans of their ever-popular Growing Hearts picture book series can look out for a new addition later this month: My Little Gifts: A Book of Sharing.

New titles from much-loved Australian authors Aaron Blabey, Morris Gleitzman and Gabrielle Wang also appear here. Blabey’s Pig the Grub is a brand-new picture book about one of our favourite literary dogs. In Gleitzman’s Help Around the House, the Australian Children’s Laureate delves into the topic of federal politics for ages 9 and up. And Wang’s Ting Ting the Ghosthunter is the sequel to her award-winning A Ghost in My Suitcase – which has recently been transformed into an immersive theatre experience.

We’re also thrilled to see 13-year-old slam poet Solli Raphael on this list! If you have aspiring young writers at home, Limelight is the perfect book for them – a unique collection of poetry paired with inspirational writing techniques.
