Review
Kate Rockstrom, Readings Carlton
I heard Vadim Gluzmanperform with the TSO lastyear and was inspired by thevitality and joy in hisperformance. So when Isaw this new release fromBIS I got excited. Gluzman’s vibrantmusicality is apparent from the very first barsof the Bruch violin concerto and eventhough this is one of the most frequentlyrecorded works, it doesn’t sound tired underhis fingers but fresh, romantic and lush. Alsoincluding Bruch’s Romance and StringQuintet, this recording affirms the power andbeauty of Gluzman’s playing.
