Now for an adrenalin blast from Central Africa These urban\nmusicians play a driving rhythmic brand of traditional music on\namplified thumb piano and assorted percussion while singers urge\nthem on to frenzied heights via megaphones and frequent whistle\nblasts. All amplification is of the improvised home made variety,\nincluding various combinations of magnets and salvaged auto parts.\nThe distorted sounds add enormously to the music and this band now\nfind themselves namedropped by electronic music fans and\nalternative music festival goers . For me, this is one of the most\nraucous and exciting releases for the year.
