Throsby Holly
An album intrigued with working mechanisms and teams (co-pilots, miners, soldiers, police, bees, tables & chairs), which presents its own little universe of cascading songs: explorations of companionship, separation, and the natural world. Recorded in a 19th Century sandstone church in Wildes Meadow, NSW, with producer Tony Dupe. Featuring Throsby’s band The Hello Tigers (Bree van Reyk on drums and percussion and Jens Birchall on cello, bass and mandolin), as well as Dupe (organ, string arrangements) and violinist Veronique Serret (of Joanna Newsom’s band). Mixed by Burke Reid (The Drones, The Mess Hall) at Sydney’s BJB Studios and J. Walker (Machine Translations, C.W Stoneking) at the Old General Store in Jumbunna, Victoria.

After recently releasing See!, a collection of children’s songs, Throsby has returned to her roots to create a new album with long-time friend and producer Tony Dupé.
Recorded in a nineteenth-century Methodist church in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Team is an inquiry into working mechanisms and teams (bees, police, co-pilots, soldiers, miners) and presents a little universe of songs exploring companionship, separation and the natural world.
