The Readings State Library shop is moving

As part of the State Library Victoria’s Vision 2020 redevelopment project to refurbish and renovate the library, our State Library shop is getting a shiny new look and a new location!

Our current shop will be closing on Monday 17 September, before reopening on Friday 21 September in its new location at the State Library Victoria’s Russell St entrance (285-321 Russell St, Melbourne).

Our new State Library shop will boast a much larger space to browse in, including an expanded children’s section, and will be located right next to the library’s new cafe, Guild.

The design of the new shop, and the larger Vision 2020 redevelopment project, is being led by an international, award-winning team combining the talents of Australasian design firm Architectus with Scandinavia’s Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects.
