Cinephiles and bibliophiles, we invite you to come down to Classic Cinema in Elsternwick to check out the brand new Readings Book Nook which popped up this week.

The Book Nook is a collection of books available for leisurely browsing by cinema patrons in the foyer while they are waiting for their film or enjoying a glass of wine.

The books in the Book Nook are available for sale at Readings St Kilda, which is the closest shop to the cinema, and the Book Nook works on an honour system; browsers are asked to return the books to the shelf after they have finished.

You’ll find an assortment of books from children’s titles to classic literature which has recently adapted to film (yes, old sport, Gatsby is on the shelf!) as well as cooking, wine, gardening and lifestyle books. The books for the Book Nook have been kindly provided by a number of publishers, and we are grateful for their support of this new initiative.
