After our wonderful event with the Wheeler Centre, Julia Gillard’s memoir, My Story, remains our top seller for the week. You can see some photos from the evening here.

We also received a visit from Annabel Crabb who signed copies of her new book, The Wife Drought (also included in our top sellers list). Two of our staff members recently read the book and wrote a fascinating piece on our blog about their own experiences juggling work and family, in relation to Crabb’s arguments. You can read their conversation here.

And while our list is again non-fiction heavy, we have some terrific fiction released tucked in there as well: Graeme Simsion’s continuation of Don Tillman’s adventures with The Rosie Effect; Gillian Flynn’s phenomenally popular thriller Gone Girl (read our thoughts on the film adaption here); and, Colm Tóibín’s deeply moving new novel, Nora Webster. Of that final entry our reviewer writes, ‘…the book’s power comes from the evocative and deeply intimate portrayal of Nora and the grief she suffers following the death of her husband, her greatest love’.
