Another newly released memoir to also feature on our list is No Friend But the Mountains, a lyrical account of life in one of Australia’s refugee detention camps from Kurdish journalist Behrouz Boochani.

Fiction readers are continuing to snap up copies of two gripping Australian thrillers, The Nowhere Child and Scrublands, as well as this year’s Pulitzer Prize winner, Less. Laura Elizabeth Woollett’s brand-new novel also proved popular last week – Beautiful Revolutionary provides chilling insight into the infamous Jonestown massacre.

Two much anticipated food and wine books also arrived in store last week: Family is the third cookbook from the wonderful Hetty McKinnon, and Halliday Wine Companion 2019 is the latest offering from wine aficionado James Halliday.
