Last week we launched two new books at Readings Kids, both of which have appeared in last week’s list of bestselling children’s and young adult books. Storm Whale is a captivating picture book that celebrates the majesty and vulnerability of nature and our place in it. Boone Shepard’s American Adventure is a madcap time-travel adventure for teenagers.

Boone Shepard’s American Adventure is the second book from Melbourne author Gabriel Bergmoser, and we’re so excited that his first book in this series, Boone Shepard, was recently shortlisted for the Readings Young Adult Book Prize! Bergmoser was selected alongside five other terrific authors, including Zana Fraillon who also appears on this list with her deeply moving novel, The Bone Sparrow.
