Our bestselling children’s book of last week is the new picture book from author and illustrator Nikki Greenberg, which we launched at our Hawthorn shop. My Dog Dash is a hilarious story about pet ownership, and the power of imagination.

Young readers are also loving Aaron Blabey Bad Guys series – the first and third book each appear on our bestsellers list – as well as the new WeirDo story from Anh Do, Crazy Weird. And we’re pleased to see so many of you picking up a copy of our children’s book of the month: Sara Pennypacker’s Pax is the story of a friendship between a boy and a fox, complete with illustrations from the talented Jon Klassen.

And with Matilda: The Musical in town, we’re not surprised to see so many readers flocking to Roald Dahl’s story of a smart and brilliant bookish young girl.
