It’s the middle of the month but we’re still getting to all the fabulous September new releases in kids and YA books. If there are some “big feelings” in your house at the moment, the gorgeous and empathetic picture book Howl might help kids and adults alike feel a bit better better.

Readers aged 9 - 12 years are loving Fiona Hardy’s second book, How to Write the Soundtrack to Your Life, a funny and moving mystery about music and friendship. Lovers of illustrated fiction and graphic novels have plenty to choose from this month: a new Dog Man episode, a tale of a lazy and very lovable cat, a wolfish Scottish odyssey and the second Sherlock Bones book.
