Topping our bestsellers list from last week are two must-read new books on asylum seekers: That Sinking Feeling by Paul Toohey and The Undesirables: Inside Nauru by Mark Isaacs. Of the latter our reviewer wrote, “…this book could not be more timely or necessary.”

Our list also reveals an interest in art, including Sasha Grishin’s comprehensive Australian Art: A History as well as two novels which revolve around the art world - Siri Hustvedt’s The Blazing World is a biographical account of fictional New York artist Harriet Burden while Donna Tartt’s The Goldfinch has at the centre, a small painting of a goldfinch.

And it’s not a surprise to see a longstanding customer favourite return to our list – Jerusalem by Yotam Ottolenghi and Sami Tamimi.
