Celebrate Ausmusic Month at Readings St Kilda

To celebrate Ausmusic Month, we’ve arranged a host of fantastic Australian artists to perform live every Saturday in November. Each performance kicks off at 2pm at our St Kilda shop and is free to attend. So drop by and enjoy some local talent in an intimate setting.

Below is our schedule for who’s playing each week.

Saturday 4 November: Justin Bernasconi

Justin Bernasconi’s music straddles styles and sounds from the Delta Blues, Appalachian Bluegrass, English Folk and all stops in between. Join us for an afternoon of exciting and soulful guitar playing reminiscent of Robbie Basho and John Fahey.

Saturday 11 November: Sand Pebbles

Join us as Melbourne’s premier band of psych-rock dreamweavers deliver a rare afternoon set culled from their outstanding new album, Pleasure Maps.

Saturday 18 November: Ross McLennan and the New World

Veteran songsmith Ross McLennan will be joined by a contracted version of his ten-piece band, the New World, to play songs from his lush, loping new album, All the Colours Print Can Manage.

Saturday 25 November: Ron S. Peno and Cam Butler

Join us for a special ‘duo mode’ performance by Ron S. Peno and Cam Butler, twin chambers of the creative heart of Ron S. Peno and the Superstitions. The pair will play pared-back versions of songs from the band’s transcendent new album, Guiding Light.

Readings St Kilda host regular free weekend gigs. If you’re a local musician and interested in finding out more, please email Gerard Elson at [email protected]
