Heavy on the female vocals, Where Did the Night Fall is another masterful step forward in the evolution of James Lavelle’s Unkle.

The hybrid of electronica and groove-rock is always a sure bet under the supervision of Lavelle and his ability to craft something special. While most of the vocalists are relative unknowns, Mark Lanegan pops up on the end of the album, his unmistakable gravelly tones giving ‘Another Night Out’ a delicious darkness. There’s lots to like here.
