A long-awaited and extremely gratifying release from Hope Sandoval (vocalist from Mazzy Star) and The Warm Inventions (including Mazzy Star/My Bloody Valentine drummer Colm O’Ciosoig).

Through The Devil Softly is a remarkable album, with all the qualities of the band’s previous release Bavarian Fruit Bread (2001). Sensual, atmospheric, lulling, hypnotic and low-key, this is one of my favourite albums of the year so far.
