The Felice Brothers: The Felice Brothers

Not since The Band has a band so completely risen out of the earth and truly captured the history of its nation. Of stagecoaches and guns, of settlers and explorers, cities rising and different cultures blending in a melting pot. It is the Depression and moonshiners and black-and-white TV. If you’re not hearing these things when listening to The Felice Brothers, then you probably just don’t get them.

What intrigues me about these guys is that for all the layers and landscapes that inhabit their songs, it is the space and silence and atmosphere that draw you in – and of course, the brilliant lyrics and imagery. They are like a great book you can’t put down. Grab a coffee and a bickie and enjoy!!
