Ah, the creators of the Gruffalo books have done it again!

Tabby McTat is a busker’s cat that joins in the singing with a miaow that is loud and strong. Then one day they become separated and Tabby McTat finds himself in new domestic bliss in a real home with another lovely cat called Sock. But he misses his old busking friend and one day sets out to find him. The reunion is joyful but now Tabby McTat is torn between his two lives. The solution is unexpected, but just right.
