Simone Felice by Simone Felice

There is a scar that runs down Simone Felice’s chest that is a stark reminder of the congenital heart defect he has had since childhood. This has clearly been a source of inspiration behind his self titled debut, although not lyricall. With friends from Mumford and Sons and The Felice Brothers lending a hand, Simone has crafted a storybook filled with images of characters of bygone days as well as those on life’s fringe. What can be classed as a folk album is full of gospel-like moments which fill each song with an otherworldly air. Tracks include ‘You And I Belong’, ‘Hey Bobby Ray’ and the beautiful ‘New York Time’. One for the collection.
