Will’s father has died and to help forget the pain of the event Will and his mother head to Indonesia for a holiday. While Will takes an elephant ride on the beautiful Oona, his mother is swimming when the tsunami hits. Saved by Oona who charges away from the ocean, Will finds himself living in the jungle with only Oona as his much needed companion.

This absolutely brilliant story is perfect for kids who love animals and are interested in current events. I can’t recommend this enough.
