Riceboy Sleeps is the art / music project fronted by Sigur Rós main man Jonsi and partner Alex Somers. Having spent the last decade tied up with his duties with his Icelandic spacemen, Jonsi and Alex’s forays into the music world have been restricted to art installations and the like so this represents their first album proper and a dreamy, other worldly affair it is indeed. The music contained within is caressing and meditative without ever being boring and the duo’s use of lilting strings and minimalist vocals are at times sublime. Fans of Sigur Rós will not be disappointed.
