New Wild Everywhere by Great Lake Swimmers

Oh my, oh my! I have just had the pleasure of listening to the new recording by the Great Lake Swimmers. Ever since I heard 2009’s Lost Channels I have been waiting to see what this Canadian indie folk band would produce next. Halfway into the opening track ‘Think That You Might Be Wrong’ I found that I needn’t have been concerned. Still ever present are the lush harmonies, acoustic overtones washed over with violin and driving rhythm section and of course Tony Dekker and his wonderful stories and inviting vocals. We are certainly blessed to have Great Lake Swimmers, Tyler Ramsey, Fleet Foxes, Shearwater et al to add to our collections. This is a keeper!
