Dee is just like every normal sixteen-year-old girl, or at least she thinks she is. That is until she meets Luke, a mysterious boy that she is instantly drawn to. But deep down Dee knows that he is not just some ordinary boy, and that he hides a secret that he is not yet willing to share. Dee is a cloverhand (someone who can see faeries) and is a threat to the current Queen of the faeries, little does she know that Luke is actually a killer from the faerie world and he has been sent to kill her.

‘Lament’ is not your usual fairy story with magic wands and fairy dust, but has a deeper, darker approach to the magical creatures we’ve all heard so much about. Some parts of the plotline can become slightly confusing to understand, but apart from that it is a great read.
