This CD come out just before Christmas, but with the flood of great new music released over the month, I’ve just managed to give it a good listen. A couple of customers who really know their Scottish music have raved about this one – and I can see why. Fraser is a traditional fiddle player of some note and Haas a cellist (presumably with a classical background) and they make beautiful music together. They can also compose and the originals fit in easily with the few traditional pieces that they tackle. This CD has immense cross-over appeal, from folk to classical listeners.
