This is a really gorgeous little hardcover book full of the weirdest creatures you could ever hope to meet in the Tasmanian forest. Illustrator M.S. Dawson has a fascination for extinct and endangered creatures, and has dreamt up all sorts of fantastic hybrid animals for this book. Kids will love the rhythmic text and the illogical, dreamy nature of the story, and adults and kids alike will enjoy poring over the beautiful black and white illustrations done in a classic natural history style.
