Whilst many artists may cover other artists’ songs on albums, none take the song and make it their own quite like Mark Kozelek. This latest collection includes reworkings of tracks by Husker Du, Will Oldham, and even AC/DC (Kozelek is seemingly fascinated by our homegrown heroes – he has previously released an entire album of AC/DC covers). Everything here is done in the very soft and dreamy fashion that Kozelek has made his signature of late. This is most certainly a welcome addition to his quite large and varied discography.
