Do Dogs Dream?: Geraldine Taylor

The subtitle for this book is: real questions that children ask about the animal kingdom, and that’s a very good description of what’s between its covers! This book answers all sorts of curly questions about animals, such as, do birds ever get lost? Where do butterflies go when it rains? Do sharks have friends? The answers are cleverly hidden underneath flaps or sliding panels. Even as an adult I was intrigued and excited to find out the answers. It’s quite difficult to find good non-fiction books for slightly younger readers aged 3-5 years, and Do Dogs Dream? is a great book with clear explanations that are in no way dumbed-down.

This is the follow-up to the excellent Why Is the Sky Blue?, and is made from 100% recycled paper.
