Beatle (whose actual name is John Lennon) has opted to take the early tram home at 9 o’clock. It’s Friday the thirteenth, and being highly superstitious, Beatle attempts to prevent any unlucky incidents from occurring. Waiting at the tram stop is destiny: Destiny McCartney, his dream girl (yep, that really is her name). She’s beautiful, feisty and their surnames form half of The Beatles. Sounds perfect, right? Except … Beatle already has a girlfriend. And he can’t decide between them. Does this make him a bad person? How can he possibly choose?

Beatle Meets Destiny is about chance and superstition. It’s about being young, making mistakes, and then making some more. The story is set in Melbourne, which will appeal immensely to readers as they recognise local and familiar places.
