1969 by Pink Martini & Saori Yuki

With all of the 12 members of Pink Martini having studied different languages and different music styles from around the world, it’s no wonder their songwriting is wildly diverse. Aiming to inspire a culture that sings and dances, they merge nostalgia with delightful rhythms and beautiful melodies. This latest offering features Saori Yuki, dubbed the Barbra Streisand of Japan, in a collection of songs that were all released in 1969. Most are hits from her native Japan, but there are a few familiar international songs here as well including Puff The Magic Dragon and Jorge Ben’s Mas Gue Nada.
