Irish singer-songwriter Fionn Regan has deeply impressed many with his two previous full-length releases: The End of History, his absolutely wonderful debut release which was shortlisted for the 2007 Mercury Music Prize, and Shadow of an Empire, which was also well-received critically.

His latest release 100 Acres of Sycamore won’t disappoint those who are fans of his work, nor many of those picking up a Regan album for the very first time. It’s a gorgeous, heartfelt, orchestral album, reminiscent of the playful folky manner of The End of History, leaving behind the surprisingly raw and aggressive electric approach of Shadow of an Empire. Very highly recommended.
