Ah, this book had me at ‘Foggy’ and then I found the see-through pages! This book is unique; it combines translucent pages with black shadows, fairy tale characters and guessing game text and it’s brilliant. Black isn’t a colour you usually find in great abundance in children’s books, but here it is combined with bright cartoonish illustrations to great effect. But it’s the cute, quirky details like the bunnies eating ice-cream that I love. Bunnies eating ice-cream!
