This album has all the indie kids frothing at the mouth to declare it the album of the year – yes, we are talking about 2009, which has barely begun. A genre-defying album which takes Radiohead at their most experimental, mixes in some Beach Boys harmonies and adds multiple sonic layers.

It is certainly a ‘dense’ record and not easily consumed but it’s not without its rewards. It may just take some time to find them.
