Following up 2008’s acclaimed Lie Down The Ligh, Will Oldham enlists a team of mates, regular collaborators and colleagues such as Josh Abrams, Jennifer Hutt and Dee Alexander to deliver an album that contains that classic Bonnie Prince Billy lo-fi melancholic poignancy but with a more roots/rock feel. An album that will keep the old fans happy with its bittersweet leanings, but should also pick up new fans with its flowing pleasing tempo. Highly recommended.
