Winthrop’s History is arranged from his arrival in the colony in 1630 to 1649, the year of his death. Savages’s notes on any given entry appear on the same page. Savages’s notes often give additional information to the entry they refer to, such as lists of oath takers or paragraphs on court records. Volume II includes an index to both volumes.
