Charles Grandison Finney (1792-1875) was an effective evangelist and prominent leader in what has been titled "The Second Great Awakening." It is estimated that between 70%-85% of his professing converts endured in the faith, a statistic no other known evangelistic ministry could honestly claim for themselves. He was a powerful communicator of gospel truth and his audiences often experienced unbearable conviction during his meetings. His lectures on various revival themes are still widely read today.
Though having voiced certain theological viewpoints that some deem too unorthodox to entertain, Finney's views evolved over time and his humility and willingness to dialogue with other productive Christians showed the evidence of His Spirit-filled character. His life story and writings on revival should serve as potent inspiration for Christians to boldly proclaim the gospel in their own spheres of influence today.
Titles Included In This Volume -
Autobiography Of Charles Finney (1876) Lectures On Revival Of Religion (1835) Letters On Revival (1845-46) The Character, Claims, And Practical Workings Of Freemasonry (1869)
