Whole in the Heart

Kaya's heart is shattered-she's reeling with the grief of losing her parents, she's been dumped, and is stuck in a job that has lost its meaning. Having somewhat recklessly fled to her family's old beach cottage, she questions her choices and even her sanity as she struggles with how to heal and move forward.

Lucas is fine, thank you very much. He's a rising star well on his way to snagging his dream job, and has a good life in the shore town where he grew up, including friends who he's proud to have depend on him. He doesn't need anything else...that is, until a woman with a link to his past blows into town and he can't look away.

The little shore town starts to work its magic-the locals including mysterious, handsome Lucas start to make Kaya feel things again. Can Kaya push past the deep scars of her trauma to put her heart back together? Can Lucas trust himself enough to earn and hold onto the affection of this broken woman who has fascinated him for so long? Or are some wounds too deep to overcome?
