The surviving members of the family, since the great battle, have lived a secluded existence, hiding from the creature they know still hunts them. Haunting dreams warn them that the danger from the creature persists, even though no one has seen it since the great battle. The family senses the creature is still out there, somewhere. Over the millennia, the family created an archive to chronicle the creature's suspected movements and actions.
