Under the Covered Bridge

Kindness. Acceptance. Inclusion. Like most ninth grade students, Hannah is excited to be in high school. Quiet and shy Hannah wants to be accepted by her peers, but she struggles to be included. She is different, because she loves sports, especially football and basketball. When some girls discover Hannah wants to be a punter for the football team, they bully her in the halls and cafeteria. They write mean messages about her on social media. Scared, Hannah retreats to the safety ofher room.

At first Hannah tries to ignore the girls hoping the bullying will stop, but it doesn't end. She knows she should tell a teacher, but she is afraid it will make the situation worse. When the girls start harassing other students, Hannah knows she has to do something before someone gets hurt. Can she develop a plan to promote kindness, acceptance, and inclusion at Green Valley High School? Can Hannah stop the bullying forever?
