All in Your Head

Seventh grader Cass Fairchild has two things on her mind: who killed Mr. Benson, and will she pass her pre-algebra test? One of those might be more pressing when you're a psychic detective. Or at least, that's what Cass used to think-until the racing heart, intrusive thoughts, and sleepless nights made her wonder if it's really precognition she's experiencing at all.

Cass and her best friend, Lenore Hurley, usually spend their time making up adventures and solving small mysteries around their school. But everything changes when they discover a neighbor's body in the woods.

Suddenly, the questions get bigger. Who would want to kill an old man? Why was Mr. Benson hiding a secret relationship? Why does it feel like the whole community wants to keep it quiet? And can Cass's powers help her solve the case-or is it all in her head?
