This Historical Romance Novella follows Nakdi, a enslaved girl from the West African Coast of Cape Verde, Gambia. Her story abounds with an unconditional love that is only seen through the eyes of one who has experienced it firsthand, and given it in return. As Nakdi must navigate her new surroundings at the Hendersen Plantation. Civil War breaks out and the plantation must survive the mystery of a pregnancy forbidden and murder. WE OWED GOD, BUT WE OWED America NOTHING! Slavery has existed a long time. The Bible even talks about slavery, but the Ghosts corrupted what God had designed. The only cause suggested in the Pentateuch for selling a man into bondage without his consent, per the Jewish Encyclopedia, is his inability to make due restoration for goods stolen.
