Yet when Natalia's dad finds a steady career, she starts reconnecting with her old friends. Then the town mayor announces he's shutting down the library.

After Natalia's dad loses his job for the second time, she's tired of her family's misfortune. Natalia is tempted to distance herself from her peers again, but she needs their help to try to change the mayor's decision. When her attempt fails, she feels hopeless.
