It's the summer of 1965 and bodies of murdered women are being found along a new section of interstate in the rugged South Mountains of North Carolina.

That same summer, a young girl named Shiloh finishes high school and decides to escape her alcoholic father. She departs her home in the mountains on a cross-state hitchhiking trip, oblivious to the fact that she's been marked as the next victim.
