Robert Lunquist's MASS is a unique and compelling book long poem consisting of a series of observations and spiritually informed variations on the science of the soul. Following a shattering event an unnamed protagonist experiences a series of revelations concerning present pain, future promise and the secret solutions of the past. Its complex system unravels with an elegance of style and an erudition all of its own. A hymn to the heart and the mind.

Robert Lundquist is an American Poet and Psychoanalyst whose life and career have been directed towards redemption in all of its forms. Published by the Paris Review and numerous seminal US magazines in his youth, he was a leading member of the Santa Cruz Poetry scene in the 1970s and a friend and associate of seminal American writers such as William Everson and Raymond Carver. His first book After Mozart (Heroin on 5th Street) was published by Robert Montgomery's New River Press in 2018.
