Carving Elsewhere follows a young man who leaves his life in Mississippi to seek out a new beginning in the New England wilderness. Within the wilds of the Berkshire Mountains in Massachusetts he stumbles upon an old abandoned church that is then appropriately named Elsewhere.

His devoted homesteading quickly turns dark when a dreadful penchant develops for carving pumpkins in his church. This ignites a sense of searching for meaning and evolution in what drives him.

Guided by feverish dreams, visceral slayings and the folklore of town histories throughout the states of New England, he attempts to carve out a life for himself.
