Before they can join battle, mystical instructions divert Fenwick and Caz on a dangerous journey through hostile territory. Waiting for them is a powerful religious artifact, but also a command that they must go alone to eliminate the dark mage who is directing the expanding shadow of evil. Caz finds himself in the fight of his life--a contest he is losing until help arrives from an unexpected ally.
