What tempts a person to treason? At the top of Dot's list were money, sex, pride, and envy. Your basic deadly sins. Operation Paperclip is in full swing, and scientists from Nazi Germany are developing weapons for the US. But somebody is leaking project secrets to the Soviets. Dot Stone must go undercover to root out the spy, knowing that exposure would make her a target for deadly Soviet agents. The investigation quickly escalates into blackmail, kidnapping, and murder, and Dot can trust nobody except her partner Joy.
