He slid a business card across the desk. There was a printed seal and the words Department of State and Office of Intelligence Research. Underneath was his name, Mr. Daniel Morgan, and a phone number in Washington, D.C. I rotated the card to face me and carefully centered it on my desk in front of me.
"So what does the Bureau want with me?"
"We have a job for you." His voice had become clipped and tense again, all comfort dissipated.
"I have a full-time job here, Mr. Morgan,"
"Miss Stone, it would not be hyperbolic of me to say that this is a matter of national security."
