The Reluctant Monastics

The pandemic has brought them to a secluded Hawaiian monastery.

-An octogenarian aviatrix struggling with the onset of blindness. Her aviator son, too preoccupied by the writings of Dante and Kierkegaard.

-A psychiatrist, now shunned by his patients, and his paid consort, a Hollywood make-up artist. His twin brother, a priest on non-voluntary sabbatical for a controversy in his parish.

-A master chef, whose restaurant is shuttered by the pandemic--out on bail for a failed bank robbery attempt.

-A semi-retired crime boss who realizes he might have a conscience afterall.

-A disgraced former Senator, who goes on benders up on the roof, talking to his dead ex-wife.

Strange times, even stranger circumstances. Uncertainty is contagious. Now, a looming danger, and no one is aware.
