In the year 2044, in an alternate reality, 16 year old Shane Conliffe lives with his mother Patricia in the small town of Winchester. In this version of America, the dollar has long since collapsed, a violent police state rules the government, and domestic crime goes unpunished. Shane, cynical and bitter after the murder of his father and brother years earlier, faces an uphill battle for justice in a corrupt society that has every card stacked against him. But this all changes when Shane's history and civics teacher, John McFarlane, invites him and his friend Hailey, along with a couple of other classmates, into an underground organization where they hope to turn the tide of the upcoming presidential election. They soon realize that they are in over their heads.

Before they know it, the new members of the organization uncover the dark secrets of this organization's past. All the while trying to influence an election at the federal level, the group finds themselves at odds with a group of other teens led by the son of the town's corrupt police chief. As they struggle to maintain the focus of their mission, conflict arises within the group itself that change the lives of its members forever.

Join Shane and the others on a journey of love and learning, trauma and betrayal, development and transformation, as they try to work together to try to expose their nation's corruption and solve the mysteries of their hometown.
