I was never meant to be a noble, and certainly never a Consort to one of the princes, but a cruel twist of fate led to Alaric Montclare, warlord and prince, calling out my name as his selected human blood donor at the Choosing. Now bound to him for the rest of my days, I must leave my family and entire life behind to accompany the High General to his war camp deep in the Northlands where he battles back the dark, evil creatures that threaten everyone within our borders.
